Forgive a touch of self-promotion, but I’m thrilled to announce that my new book, Vegan in 15, is released today. The concept is simple: fast, flavourful plant-based recipes that can be on the table in 15 minutes or less. If you want reliable, easy vegan recipes for busy days without compromising on taste, this book was written for you.
Working on the cookbook with the wonderful team at Short Books has been an intense and joyful experience. I balanced recipe testing and photo shoots while expecting a baby, which made the whole process equal parts hectic and deeply rewarding. Over many months we cooked, tasted and refined every dish so that each recipe is genuinely quick to make and consistently delicious.
The recipes in Vegan in 15 cover a wide range of everyday needs. You’ll find breakfast and brunch ideas that make mornings easier, packed lunches and lunchbox options for work or school, small plates and snacks perfect for sharing, and main meals that feel substantial even when prepared quickly. There are also indulgent desserts that taste decadent while remaining fully plant-based—desserts that will surprise anyone who assumes vegan means compromise.
To give a sense of what to expect, I’ve shared a sneak peek of some of the beautiful photographs from the book below. They show a few of the finished dishes and reflect the book’s approachable, modern style. The images represent the kinds of quick vegan meals you can prepare on a weekday evening or for a relaxed weekend brunch.
-
- Chocolate & Peanut Butter ‘Freakshake’
-
- Griddled Asparagus with Lemony Sauce on Crumpets
-
- Banana & Pecan Pancakes with Maple Syrup
Each recipe in the book is written to be practical and accessible. Ingredient lists are concise and use easily found pantry staples, and instructions are laid out to suit cooks of all levels. Where helpful, I include simple tips for batch-cooking, ingredient swaps, and ways to scale recipes for more people. The focus is on saving time in the kitchen while celebrating fresh flavours, seasonal produce, and satisfying textures.
For readers who follow my work on social channels, you might recognise some dishes from recent posts—we used the Instagram feed extensively while developing and testing meals. The book reflects the same breezy, modern approach to vegan home cooking that has always guided the blog: straightforward techniques, honest flavours, and meals that fit into everyday life.
If you’re curious about buying a copy, the book is available in a range of bookshops and retailers. It can be found in major stores and many independent bookshops; if your local shop doesn’t stock it, please ask them to order it in.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting the blog over the years. Your encouragement has made the book possible—without readers there wouldn’t be a blog, and without a blog there wouldn’t be this cookbook. I’m so grateful for all of you who have cooked from the site, sent feedback, and shared recipes with friends and family.
With thanks,
Kate x
