Mille Feuille Dress Pattern

Today I’m checking off a big item on my sewing bucket list: my very first individual pattern release. With the long, hot days of summer ahead and the kids finishing school soon, now is the perfect time for cool, breezy sundresses. The Mille Feuille Dress pattern captures everything I love in a little girl’s summer dress—lightweight, full of movement, and comfortable to wear. I’m excited to share it with you.

This design features a gently rounded bodice and delicate spaghetti straps. If spaghetti straps aren’t appropriate for some settings, the pattern adapts easily: add small shoulder bows or modest cap sleeves for more coverage. The original styling with tiny bows at the shoulders gives the dress a classic, feminine silhouette that my girls love.

The dress includes shirring across the back, so it fits snugly and comfortably while remaining easy to pull on and off. I originally made a very similar dress for my daughter Addie for her second birthday, and she has worn it every summer since.
